New homeowner finds creepy note taped inside cupboard with chilling five-word warning

Often when we move in to a new pad, it can be quite nice to find a message from the previous owners. But one tenant was left so freaked out by what they came across that they took to social media forum Reddit to ask for advice. In a post on the r/Weird subreddit group , the user writes: "Found this note taped under a panel in this storage cabinet, previous owner just trolling me?" Attached were three images of a scrap piece of paper. One side read: "Don't look under the floor." On the back there was a long 14-digit number - 29065300489382. The third image showed where the note had been tucked away before it was found by the new homeowner. The post received 16k upvotes and attracted over 1.6k comments. One sleuth attempted to decipher the code and came up with the conclusion: " 2906530 is a bolt action slug shotgun. 2005-(048938) is the library of congress identifier for a Private Investigator handbook: 'The Private Investigator Handbook: The Do-It-Yourself Guide to Protect Yourself, Get Justice, or Get Even.' "That's all I got lol, I'm grasping at straws." One replied: "If OP (original poster) opens the floor and finds a shotgun and a book I'm gonna freak out." "And bones," another added. While another said: "Yeah first thing I’m doing is looking under the floor." One person commented: "Omg, this was the credentials to a Bitcoin wallet! I'm rich! Thank you for posting this!" One joked: "I moved into a place and noticed in the cabinet under the bathroom sink there was a moustache sticker and written in sharpie it said “you found my secret ‘stash!” Many people discussed how they had considered playing similar pranks when they moved out of their properties. One confessed: "When I got my carpet replaced I thought about writing something creepy on the floorboards and then my mind wandered and I scared myself so much I couldn’t do it." One replied: "I would have painted the words “GET OUT” in bright red paint." Another added: "Brother-in-law built a new deck. Before he put the deck boards on, he put a full size plastic skeleton in the dirt. It was November and on sale. Gap under the deck is only about a foot."
